Really?!? What have I been up to?

I am sure you have been wondering ... why would she start a blog and then not post.

Yeah ... I am right there with you.

So what has been going on ... Maysie has been sick. And she is not easy when she is sick. She stole Hudson's pacifier when we were battling thrush and now she has it. Also, she had a fever which gave her fever blisters on her lips. She doesn't want to drink anything and she doesn't want to eat anything.

She does a lot of crying and whining. She says she needs me about 2 billion times a day. She wants me to just sit with her. She doesn't sleep. I have to tackle her to take her medicine. She tells me she has boo boo's. She is basically miserable.

And that means I am miserable. It means that I am not sleeping. It means that at the end of the day I am officially "touched" out.

Between feeding the baby, taking care of Maysie, and taking Jacob to soccer, I have had little time to do anything else.

I am thankful to be a Mom but weeks like this wear me out.

So here is what we have been doing ... in pictures.

Jacob had his first travel soccer game about an hour away from the house. They lost but we still had fun spending time together.

Sleeping. Sleeping. Sleeping. Thank goodness for small miracles.

Brand new coffee mug! I love Anthropologie! And yellow just makes me happy.

Detox baths. They made her smile even though it didn't last that long.

Hudson is so good. He is very laid back and extremely easy going. He only cries when he is hungry which is every two hours. But who is looking at the clock.

This is what Maysie wants me to do. Put my cold hands on her back. She says it makes her feel better.

And this is how most of our days go. Maysie has to have her arm up my sleeve and Hudson lays on my chest. I can barely move. But these kiddos are my whole world. I guess spending a week laying around cuddling my littles is more of a luxury than a curse.

You may have to remind me of that when I am waking up every single hour during the night taking care of them.

Hello {Snuggles}

Hello Monday!
I love the brand new start to the week. As a Mom of 4, Monday means I get to start again. It means that I can do better this week than I did last week. It means that I can try to be more patient or make a routine that maybe our family will stick with. It is a clean slate.

Today in the Midwest it is rainy and gloomy. And typically on days like today I just like to snuggle up with my kids. Good thing the littles love to snuggle and sleep just like I do.

Hello messy beds and sleeping babies.

Hello taking the time to stop with my chores and just breathe in my kids.

Hello Christmas pajamas and binkies.

Hello my favorite color yellow which just makes everything more cheerful.

Hello Nike clothes and 2 year olds who still love to lay with their moms.

Hello chubby cheeks and baby breath.

Hello my sweet littles.

I love starting my week with these two!

Hi! I am glad you are here.

After almost a year of not writing a single blog post I am starting to write again. {Boy did I need this outlet.} I used to blog over at The Mom in Little Man's World but after getting married and adding a stepson to the mix and now we have added 2 little ones to our group the blog just didn't seem to work for me anymore.

I wasn't just a Mom to one little man anymore but a Mom to 4 kiddos.

I am hoping this blog becomes a place where I can connect to people and that they can connect to me.

Being a stay-at-home Mom is very isolating. All you see is Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest all day long and you feel like you can't compare. Like you don't measure up to the filtered, pinned, and cleaned lives of those you follow.

I am just a Mom trying to get "it" right. The inevitable and yet hopefully not unobtainable "it" status that we all want.

At the end of the day I just want to be a good mom and wife.

I want my kids to remember the moments.

I want to turn off the tv, put down the remote, and live this life that I have gotten lazy about living.

I know I am not perfect. My house is only clean at night after my kids go to bed. But I am trying.

My plan for this blog is simple ... to show you what really goes on in my house. I am sure I will talk about parenting. I have a son with ADHD and a very strong willed 2 year old. I have a lot to share and a lot to learn about what it takes to parent them.

Also, I am sure I will talk about budgeting. I love talking money. The real nitty gritty money talks. Give me numbers. Share your tips. I will show you how I run the money around our house. {I would love to say that my husband is involved in the money aspect but he hates it. So we don't discuss it. This is not a good idea. We go over budget more than we stick to it.}

I will share with you about my essential oil journey. {I use Young Living.} I will show you different ways to use the starter kit. I make my own cleaning products and face lotion. It is easy and not overwhelming I promise.

I will show you what we are loving, watching, reading, and doing.

I hope you will join my as I navigate life with my littles and my bigs.

Check out my About Me page to meet my family.
